Very happy with my Peugeot 3008. I only mention it because it's a similar size and spec.

had one a few years back, it was decent enough and never let us down.
from memory we got the 2 litre as the 1.6 felt a bit sluggish.

I have a Skoda Octavia VRS estate and love it. Good for a trip to the tip and wee bit of zooming round the twisty Sussex country roads. It is a stretched Golf GTI really and far cheaper. Skodas are also the most reliable of the VAG group's brands.

N S. It's a Skoda well not really its a Volkswagen/Seat and whatever car is in the VW group. My mates said the same all those old Skoda jokes came out but I can honestly say it's one of the best cars I've had and believe me I've had a few.

Depends on how much you want too pay.No such thing as a free lunch.Especially when it comes to buying a motor.

Percy... they always get a decent write up and I did give thought to it... but I don't think I could have slept at night knowing I had paid nigh on £40k for same equiv as the Nissan... I mean... it's a Skoda...

To be fair very few outright lemons out there and there is nothing wrong with the Qashqai per se it's just trading on a reputation it got from the 1st iteration meaning that means dealers are not trying hard and pricing is keen in the lower and middle range specs. (The Tecna to of range seems to be an exception)
I've got a diesel 2008 for the Mrs and a Diesel SLK in full MLS spec NS, I am in NO position to talk :-)

I've owned two.
Second one was higher spec.
Very happy with both. They also look good. One of the better middle of the road suv's so you will pay more. But good deals out there. The high spec ones are very good.
